Follow the Technique Guide

Below the parameters, find step-by-step brewing instructions specific to each method. The guides cover preparation, blooming, pouring technique, timing, and finishing — everything you need to brew consistently.

Pour Over Technique Steps
  • 1 Rinse the paper filter with hot water to remove papery taste and preheat the dripper
  • 2 Add ground coffee and level the bed with a gentle shake
  • 3 Bloom with 2x coffee weight in water, wait 30 seconds for CO₂ to release
  • 4 Pour in slow, concentric circles from center outward — avoid the edges
  • 5 Allow full draw-down. Total brew time should be 2:30 – 4:00

Freshness & Storage Guide

Learn when your coffee is at peak freshness. Green beans last months; roasted coffee peaks at 3-14 days post-roast. The freshness timeline helps you plan your roasting and brewing schedule for optimal flavor.

Green (unroasted) beans store for months in cool, dry conditions. Once roasted, peak flavor begins after a 2-3 day rest period and lasts through day 14.

Troubleshoot Your Cup

If something tastes off, the troubleshooting guide helps diagnose the issue. Sour? Under-extracted — try finer grind or longer brew time. Bitter? Over-extracted — try coarser grind or shorter time. Each correction is specific and actionable.

Quick Diagnosis Guide
Sour Grind finer, brew longer — under-extracted
Bitter Grind coarser, brew shorter — over-extracted
Weak Use more coffee or less water — adjust ratio
