Your control center for everything behind the scenes. Configure themes, manage roaster profiles, activate your license, and back up your data to a local or cloud-synced folder.
From the main menu or the gear icon in the header bar, open Settings. This is where you configure your RoastSource experience — how the app looks, how your data syncs, what equipment you use, and what features are available to you.
Head to My Roasting Equipment and tap Add Roaster. Enter the name, brand, model, type (drum, fluid-bed, hybrid), batch capacity, and probe information. Set it as your default if it is your primary equipment. Accurate roaster data enables adaptive profiling in the Roasting module. Managing multiple roaster profiles is part of the Expert tier.
If you use a USB thermocouple probe for temperature logging, configure it in the External Probe section (highlighted in blue). Tap Configure to expand the panel, enable the toggle, select your device type (Mastech MS6514, PerfectPrime TC2100, RoastLink ONE, or Generic Serial), and save. When collapsed, it shows a summary of your configured probe. During roast setup, your probe is automatically pre-selected as the temperature source.
Go to Settings > Data Sync and choose a local folder on your machine to save your RoastSource data. This creates a backup file you can restore from at any time. Back up regularly — especially after roast sessions or big inventory changes. Your data lives in browser storage and can be lost if the cache is cleared.
Want your data on every device? Choose a cloud-synced folder like Dropbox, Google Drive, or iCloud Drive as your backup location — available to everyone today; changes sync through your cloud provider. Automatic cloud sync (zero setup, no folder required) is coming with the Expert tier.
Go to License Management and enter your activation code or license key. Your tier updates immediately and new features become available. Founding tester codes and gift codes never expire — they are lifetime licenses. Standard licenses allow one active device at a time.
Go to Appearance and toggle between Dark theme and the Light “Coffee Cream” theme. Dark is the default and recommended for most use. The Coffee Cream theme uses warm latte-art-inspired tones ideal for daytime. Your preference is saved per device.
Open Settings in RoastSource to set up your roaster, activate your license, and protect your data with automatic backups.
